Before the voice breaks, the truth begins. In the sweltering London summer of 1606, the Globe Theater is alive with the chaos of rehearsal. Six boy players, the young male actors tasked with bringing Shakespeare’s greatest heroines to life, are preparing for the premieres of Antony and Cleopatra and Twelfth Night. Between practicing lines and stolen moments of romance, they grapple with the ticking clock of their own adolescence while navigating the shifting boundaries of gender, identity, and desire. Against the looming backdrop of the plague and rising religious conservatism, these young artists must decide who they will become once the curtain falls on their "greatness".
